The Northeastern Police Ski Championships
- THE TWENTIETH ANNUAL EVENT
THE 2014 DATES WILL BE POSTED THIS SPRING. On March , 2014, at
Whiteface Mountain, located in Wilmington, New York, the New York State
Troopers Ski Team will host the 20th Annual Northeastern Police Ski
Championships. Two days of alpine ski racing and festivities, to benefit the
Make-a-Wish Foundation of New York. Competitors must be employed as full
time (or retired) Law Enforcement Officers and their guests. Come join us at
Whiteface, the Olympic Mountain.
For the last nineteen years, the Northeastern Police Ski Championships has
raised over $ 237,000 for charities. Proceeds from this event will benefit the
Make-a-Wish Foundation. The Make-a-Wish Foundation is a non-profit
organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical
conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The
Make-a-Wish chapter selected will be from New York State and Vermont.

*** Snowboarders may enter both races (2013 there will be one snowboard division)

is located at 2125 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid. The Comfort Inn of Lake
Placid is the location for the Northeastern Police Ski Championships'
banquet. The hotel's rooms have in-room coffeemakers, hair dryers,
microfridges, microwave ovens, and iron/ironing boards.

you are attending the "Troopers' Ski Races". A hot and cold continental

Championships, only.
The 2014 printable will be posted on this website in the Fall. Information
includes awards, age categories, banquet and entry fees information. There
will be a team award for the top three teams, age group awards, two female
age groups, fastest overall male, fastest overall female, fastest overall retired
officer and fastest overall guest... And we have kids' racer medals. The
FASTEST OVERALL awards are the combined time of all runs If you have

March 6, 2013 (Lake Placid) - Thanks to all our racers, skiers, guests, families, friends, and sponsors for
making the 19th annual event a success! We are proud to be donating to the Northeast NY chapter and the
Vermont chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

possible.
The Northeastern Police Ski Championships is the longest running annual charity ski race at Whiteface
Mountain, now in our 20th year. You don't have to be a racer to have fun!
