The Northeastern Police Ski Championships

THE FIFTEENTH ANNUAL EVENT
March 2009, at Whiteface Mountain, located in Wilmington, New York, the New York State
Troopers Ski Team will host the 15th Annual Northeastern Police Ski Championships. Two days of
alpine ski racing and festivities, to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of New York. Competitors
must be employed as full time (or retired) Law Enforcement Officers and their guests. Come join us
at Whiteface, the Olympic Mountain.

A CHARITY EVENT
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The Make-a-Wish Foundation is a
non-profit organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to
enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Make-a-Wish chapter selected will be
from New York State.

EVENT FORMAT
Monday March TBA 2009 - on Draper's
Giant Slalom Race ( 2 runs- The better of the two runs not combined time for age group awards)
Please preregister!   Registration at Whiteface Lodge at 8:30am.
Race starts at 10am.

Tuesday March TBA 2009 -   on Boreen
Super "G" Race ( Helmet required )
Registration at Whiteface Lodge at 8:30am.
Race starts at 10am.
Banquet at Comfort Inn, 2125 Saranac Avenue Lake Placid, NY at 7:00PM

*** Snowboarders may enter both races (there is no snowboard Division.)

ACCOMMODATIONS
The host accommodations for the Northeastern Police Ski Championships is the
Comfort Inn of Lake Placid, NY. The hotel is located at 2125 Saranac Avenue, Lake
Placid. The Comfort Inn of Lake Placid is the location for the Northeastern Police Ski
Championships' banquet. The hotel's rooms have in-room coffeemakers, hair
dryers, microfridges, microwave ovens, and iron/ironing boards.

858-4656 [ toll free]. A hot and cold continental breakfast is included in the per
person rate. See map for hotel location in Lake Placid. The room rates are in U.S.
dollars and are for this event only.

The 2009 APPLICATION will have award, age categories, banquet and entry fees
information. There will be a team award for the top three teams, age group awards,
two female age groups, fastest overall male, fastest overall female, fastest overall
retired officer and fastest overall guest... And we have kids' racer medals. The
FASTEST OVERALL awards are the combined time of all THREE runs [ both giant
